Training

At Colliers Woof, we offer bespoke training plans for you and your dog using force-free training. We are qualified with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and use force-free methods to help with any training needs, however big or small. We want you and your pup to feel confident, enjoy your time together and not have to worry about being unprepared for any unexpected issues. Ultimately, our aim in offering training is to make sure that you have the tools and the knowledge that you need to ensure that you have a happy and well trained pooch – but of course, we are always on hand to help!

Wondering where to start? Not sure what to do first? We can help with an hour long pre-puppy consultation in your home! We will cover the basics of what to expect before you get your puppy and when you bring them home. From toilet training to puppy nipping, getting through the first few days to surviving the nights, we are here to help and make sure you feel prepared for those crucial first few weeks.

F.A.Q.

Some of our most frequently asked questions for peace of mind!

Great, we are excited to meet you and your dog! First of all, fill out our enquiries page and we shall be in contact within 24 hours. We can then organise an initial consultation in which we can get all of the important information out of the way but, most importantly, we can introduce ourselves to you and your dog and discuss your tailored plan of effective but cheap dog care! If you think that we are the right fit for you, we can then get started right away.

At Colliers Woof, we believe that it is extremely important for dogs to get the necessary attention and for this reason we keep our walks to 4 dogs maximum, even if 2 of the dogs are from the same household.

We understand that all dogs are different and that some have a little trouble around others. Our one-on-one walks are the perfect solution, and these can be done at quieter times of the day to ensure that your dog is happy, comfortable and safe.

This very much depends on your schedule – if you will not be in, then we will need a key in order to pick up and drop off your dog. However, we take key safety extremely seriously and we are fully DBS checked.

We are based in Colliers Wood and service there and surrounding areas – Wimbledon, Tooting, Earlsfield, Merton, Morden and Mitcham. However, depending on the service, we can be flexible so get in touch if you are nearby and we can discuss your location!

As for times, we do walks at all times of the day, 7 days a week, so we can be extremely flexible.

Absolutely! A little bit of rain never hurt anybody, nor did some snow or wind. The only time that we will have to cancel a walk due to weather would be in extreme cases where there would be a safety risk. Otherwise, we walk in all weather and we will ensure that your dog has been dried off before returning them home.

As we are trained in animal first aid, we will be able to deal with some emergencies. However, if there is a more serious emergency, we shall run through the plan for this in our initial consultation. The safety and health of the dogs that we care for is always our number one priority, and we will seek help from a vet if we deem it necessary – however, we take steps to ensure dogs’ safety at all times.

We hold a DBS certificate and have full Public Liability insurance. We also hope that our initial consultation will put your mind at ease about entrusting your dog with us!
